Very rarely do I share other designers’ work (because I like to keep things genuine around here), but I saw this white painted log cabin & thought it was too beautiful to keep to myself. The thought of painting all of that wood might make a grown man cry, but I love the contrast with the floor & stone fireplace. It’s a rainy day, but we were able to get just enough light to photograph this main floor remodel. Our initial consultation started as a kitchen remodel & slowly turned in to the kitchen + living room + sun room + dining room + powder room + laundry room. And suddenly we transformed the entire main floor! These clients were a delight to work with, as was the crew with Innovative Builders & Remodelers. Timing & communication are KEY and they really impressed us all with both. While I wait (on the edge of my seat 😆) here is a quick shot I snapped while trying to stay out of the way. Hey guys! You know what I’m really bad at? Keeping up with social media... I know it’s great marketing & I know people love seeing what’s going on here, & I really do love to share, but I struggle with it. I question if I’m creating the right content or sharing the right photos. I struggle with the balance of keeping up here or putting that energy towards my clients & their homes. I’ll let you guess which one wins 9 times out of 10. I personally love to show the work in progress photos here, mixed in with a few polished after photos. But the work takes way longer than the final photo shoot (contrary to what you see on TV - a room in a day!!!), so I tend to have more progress than final photos. Tell me, do you prefer polished photos or process photos? This main floor remodel pictured is sooooo close to being wrapped up!
